The Blossoming Doula

Blossoming with you along your journey while encouraging and supporting you to have the birth experience you desire!

Why the name The Blossoming Doula?

‘The Blossoming Doula’ speaks of my journey as a Maiden who is blossoming into a Doula. As I navigate this path and build my knowledge along the journey, I envision myself like a flower growing and ready to blossom; being reborn. I have always felt a strong connection to nature and the beauty of flowers, receiving them is certainly one of my love languages (hint hint nudge nudge).

It also describes how I see the journey a Mother embarks on during her pregnancy. Not only is she growing life inside of her body she is also the embodiment of life itself. As she blossoms from Maiden to Mother I walk alongside her, witnessing her magic, and as we learn from each other, we blossom together.

"Rach was an absolutely fantastic doula for us. Her energy and enthusiasm around the process was wonderful, as was her presence and reassurance during the birth itself. Rach listened carefully to our wishes for the birth, respected them and worked to support them throughout the process. She was open and curious about the birth, something which matched what we wanted perfectly.

My partner described her as the best investment we could possibly have made at the time, and for me (the birthing partner) knowing that I and he would be supported by Rach throughout our time made such an incredible difference to our experience.
I’d be more than comfortable recommending Rach to any friends or family going through the process in the future, she was truly wonderful.”

Rachael is a very friendly and easy-going person, yet very professional when it comes to her duties as a doula. It was easy to approach and engage her. She is a good listener, and she has an open-minded approach. She ensured that I feel comfortable sharing my previous birth story with her, actively listened to my fear and concerns and assisted me to develop strategies to address them. She offered very helpful specific suggestions for me to consider. I found that she is genuinely caring about her clients. During labour, she encouraged my husband to massage me, and it provided immediate relief to my back pain. Overall, it was the best decision to engage her as a doula for the birth of my second baby.

She was perfect for me!

To our wonderful doula Rach!

Thank you so much for being you! And being by our side to help us birth our beautiful baby girl. We couldn’t of had asked for a more incredible experience. It was made possible because of your kindness, generosity and passion.

You will forever be a special person in our lives.
